CRANES!
These sandhill cranes migrate up the Mississippi River from Mexico every year. They stop by Platte River, NE to feed and breed. I had a great opportunity to see them. It was incredible.

Harbingers of Spring
For the past couple weeks the House finches have returned to my balcony to make their nest. From what I understand they are an invasive species where I live, but I will be doing more research to confirm. I laid on my living room floor for about 20min with my camera taking pictures of them while drinking my coffee. I The red plumage of the male finch is especially captiviating.
